Not the best article is it? The football one is very tenuous though as it lists people who have died of heart attacks. For example Marc Vivien Foe's death or Fabrice Muamba's near death were nowt to do with football.
True. There's risks involved but most of it was blood transfusions where they were putting there own blood back into them. Little risk as long as your careful with the needles & make sure your blood's kept refrigerated. Can go wrong though, Tyler Hamilton's book on it is superb. He once put his own blood back into him & the blood had gone off, he ended up pissing blood & at the hospital. Also got to make sure that if all the teams doping that you use your own blood bag & not a team mates. Alexander Vinokourov & his team mate Andrey Kascheckin both tested positive for a blood transfusion from another person at the 2008 Tour de France. It's never been confirmed but believed they mixed the bags up. Scary if they'd have been different blood types.
