Possibly a song thrush either, very hard to tell them and Mistle thrushes apart but the plumage looks less rounded and more V shaped which makes me think it's more possibly a song thrush but again it's hard to tell them apart, I've had a mating pair for 3 years in garden and I'm still not sure what type
This magnificent specimen has lived in our barn for 3 years, pretty sure it's the same one, but maybe not. Summer nights my routine to wind down from work madness is to sit in the garden around 8.30 - 9.30 playing......... Yes 2 hours of cathartic bat squeaks , this attracts the bats that dive bomb me incessantly looking for their friend, who exists on my phone only. Bat noises also scare off midges, it works, better than candles at a BBQ. Who knew! At between 8.30 - 9.00 most nights, the owl glides across the garden in slow motion, amazing sight that I haven't photo'd successfully yet. As good as I got.......
Exiled - I did a photography day at Oxenholme Bird of Prey Centre and got some cracking photos. This wasn't one of them ......
