Good luck to him. Don't really buy into the negative connotations associated with him being described as a journeyman or a mercenary. It seems that every move he has made has been to further his career. Not like he's dropping down a division for a massive pay rise. He also appears to graft at every club he plays for.
Yes but as Troff said it's the Wales connection too. Also a bit of flattery for his new boss, especially a lovely bloke like Harris, will go a long way for Keef. I wish him well, he was a good servant for us. Suppose we will review in 12 months when Cardiff narrowly miss out on play offs and he jumps ship again, probably for Swansea. Or Merthyr Tydfil depending on how it goes. As long as there's decent wedge Keef will be okay.
He is a journeyman though, whichever way you look at it. And that isnt necessarily a negative thing. It is what it is. I would be wary if I were a Cardiff fan is all I'm getting at, because there's no loyalty just self-interest. And yes careers are short and they'll be on the dole at 35 etc etc...
When he played for us he gave his all & some games he won games on his own, his goals were vital & he was a big reason we got promoted. I'd rather think of that & praise the service he gave us, than be bothered about where he went after that..
I loved big keef. He was the player we were after for years, the player when opposing teams came who had this type of player, id say to mi dad "wish he played for us". Sadly not for long enough tho.
To be fair I think mid table to playoffs is about his level. So can't see Cardiff having much trouble with keeping hold of him. Unless he starts to score more goals at this level. And I don't even think it comes down to earning more money (even though I wouldn't begrudge him if he did move for better pay), but is instead more about furthering his career and fulfilling potential. To do that you have to show some self-interest.
I don't think anyone should blame Moore for trying to make the most he can after the absolutely horrific injury he suffered. In his mind, he probably feels lucky to be playing at all.
Merthyr Town F C formed in 2010 when Merthyr Tydfil F C hit the buffers. Brilliant club in Southern League Premier Division - a 100% Community owned and run club based at Penydarren Park. (a lot of Merthyr Tydfilians suffer with insomnia - every time they start counting sheep they have to stop for a wnak!)
thats what I am saying. It's alleged that £ 2.1 million was the fee for Moore. That will not be enough to pay the outstanding transfer fees owed by Wigan. So we may have to await them selling more players off.
No St John's no match there is a legal requirement for medical cover at matches so they could insist on money up front and if I were them I would.

No it wouldn’t be allowed. I’ve heard boxing promoters talk about this in relation to fighters suffering serious injuries & it applies to all (I presume) physical sports that they have to have an ambulance & medical staff there. I know in boxing that the major promoters have two ambulances there as if someone gets seriously hurt on the undercard they can still proceed with the main event. In football I’m not sure if they need two as the clubs physio’s will all be first aid trained (the Bolton one saved Muamba’s life) but they do definitely have to have one there. At Oakwell the ambulance is nearly always between the west & away stands.
I heard it was a specialist heart surgeon in the crowd who happened to be a Spurs fan saved Muambas life . The first aiders and Doctor’s were there and ready for most emergencies but the specialist care he needed to keep him alive wasn’t on standby .
All his moves have made sense. You could argue that his move from us to Wigan was purely down to greed but we’d just got promoted & lost Davies & Lindsay & I think Pinnock had also left by the time Moore did so he knew it would be a season of trouble where as with Wigan they were spending more money & buying a more proven type of player so I’d argue he expected to finish mid-table there & technically they did before the points deduction. So it made sense from both a financial & a sporting view. Went abroad to try & establish himself as he couldn’t do anything over here at the time, got a move from the lower leagues to Ipswich, couldn’t get a game there (McGoldrick & Waghorn) so went on loan to Rotherham, did well for them & we came in for him when Evans was selling anyone he could, did well for us & got the Wigan move & then had to be sold due to Wigan going in administration. I understand why some are calling him a journeyman but all his moves have been a natural progression. He’s hardly Jason Shackell
Ah right. I’d heard on Undr the cosh, Parkin & Chris Brown talking about a physio Robbie Blake had at Bolton had saved Muamba’s life, maybe he was just one of the people on hand that helped
