From where I sat he got the ball but that’s irrelevant as he had cleaned out Gardner to get there. It’s still a foul if you play the man first which is how I saw it haven’t seen replays though so I could change my mind. Looked a clear pen from my one viewpoint
It was an improvement but let's not get carried away - we didn't have a shot on target for the first 85 minutes.
Just my opinion. I enjoyed it. There was little end product but there was an energy to our play that I’ve not seen in a lot of games. The 2nd half flew by for me. Maybe I’m still a bit merry.
We looked like a team that had 2 points from a possible 24 going into the game. We lack confidence & conviction & certain players seem to unable to find a man. Thankfully we were solid at the back. As a spectacle I'd say it was somewhere between turgid & mundane. The game was there for the taking, but we only forced about 3 fairly straightforward saves from their keeper. Plus points were Mallan did OK, Gardiner looked better & two CB's were excellent. Gardner is the type of player that will always take a while to fit into a team, but is starting to look like the player I hoped he may be. Isgrove's pace caused a few problems early on, but he faded second half going forwards, although he did make a few good interceptions. Fryers & Williams had a day to forget. Bradshaw needs a pair of stepladders to get to most of the balls we were lofting up to him. Other plus point is other teams below us lost, so we are a point better off. That said I can't think of many home games coming up we will have more chance of winning than that one.
Whatever it was or it wasn't, it was definitely better than we've played for a while. I thought it was a nailed-on penalty live and haven't seen it on tv so could be wrong. Either way, the guy Eltringham is a shocking disgrace - how come we get him for the third time in twelve home games? T'owd Chien's going to have to put some Triads outside the ref's room in future, to remind them which side their bread needs to be buttered on.
Jesus. I thought it was absolutely dog **** and l came away thinking, Chien if you're absolutely serious in your investment sign the right back on a decent contract then you need 10 new players. Liam Lindsey - ******* hell fire, got himself injured because he was **** scared.
I watched it on iFollow and was bored shitless. All the players just stood in one place and never moved.
Agreed it was a slight improvement on the last few weeks but that really isn't saying a great deal, still totally toothless upfront.
personally didn't find it exciting in any way. largely bored. only chinks of light were pinnock, who was excellent, and izzy
