I for one wouldn’t be too disappointed if he went, though I don’t think he will because no one would have him. His free kicks are shocking, his shooting his shocking. Yeah he keeps possession but only because he passes side ways or backwards. Far too overrated.

I think he plays one of the toughest roles in our team and plays it well most games. Poor today but I do think he's a key player we need to keep a hold of.

He didn’t have his best game ever today but his cross should’ve got us a point. Put it straight on Frieser’s head a few yards out.

His free kicks are very poor though, do we not work on this in training?

I would be disappointed if he left. I don’t think he will though.

He would’ve had an assist today with that sublime cross for the sitter that Frieser missed. He made a few cross field passes that broke up their attacks and set us on our own attacks. He worked his socks off and covered every inch of ground today as per usual. Not a MOM performance by any means but nowhere near as bad as you are making out. You are Nudger and I claim my £10

He was poor at set pieces last season but is still taking them this season which is very worrying. He wasted the free kick near the end and in the first half his shot must have landed on row Z of the North stand.

    Me and thee both.
I’ve been pointing that out for a long while now.
The Mowatt position is the pivotal position of the team.
If the player in that position is average - the whole team is average.
This season I was expecting him to sign for one of the bigger clubs in the 1st Division - Sunderland or Ipswich etc.

I’m probably been a bit harsh but he will probably be one of our of our top earners and for me his crossing, and deffo his goal returns are woeful.

He's had worse games but the worry for me wouldn't be him leaving but the actual replacement or lack of. I don't rate him as highly as others but compared to what we have at the moment he's as good as it gets.

His lack of a right foot affects his play massively.

Also, think he sometimes slows play down as he rarely plays any defence splitting passes. Agree with Ubique Tyke in that there isn’t really a replacement at the mo.

Also not saying that today’s defeat was in any way Mowatts fault, it was a poor team performance full stop!!

He isn't a defensive midfielder but is played as one. After 5 mins I said he'll be non existent this game because of it and he was

We need someone who can hit a dead ball. Oduor. Mowatt is useless with dead balls. He's a key player, but not a free kick taker, no wonder Leeds let him go.

Looked on YouTube when we signed him and he scored some cracking long range goals for Leeds , can’t recall him scoring one for us unfortunately. Like you say, he’s useless with a dead ball.

You have just put the finger on the main point.
No one in the team can do what Mowatt does - hence the reason most on here think he’s a good player.
Those that think he’s a good player are going to be surprised when we actually have someone in that position that is a good player.

His set pieces are awful. You just knew that free kick at the end would be a waste. He should have Let Styles have a try.

He has definitely scored a few long rangers for us, 100%. But he has also had many, many shots ballooned over the bar too. He could’ve had that at Leeds, you just won’t have seen them on the highlight reels for obvious reasons.
