"Katherine Kelly examines a shocking murder that took place in Barnsley, Yorkshire and explores the impact it had on the local community" - sky channel 156 for anyone interested.
I’ve watched the previous episodes featuring Hull, Dundee and Dartford. It’s okay but more filler than killer with loads of repetition and flannel. That said, I remain hopelessly in love with KK and will be tuning in for her home town show.
The Dundee episode featured the murder of Ann Nicol. I actually worked along side her father Angus and my brother who is a paramedic had the unenviable job of recovering her body. All very tragic and the killer was a 17 year old. Crazily he was released from jail a couple of years ago only to attack another woman within hours of release. Back inside. Hopefully never released now.
Robbie Mackintosh. Very similar to the 2 Barnsley murders featured tonight. A lifer killing again within a short time of his parole release on licence. I was involved with a case last year where 2 lifers who met in prison went on to murder again together. In another case an IPP prisoner was released on parole after 12 years and committed murder within 6 weeks.
I believe some people are just born to murder. We have had quite a few murders in Dundee throughout the years. There was a father and son who both were murderers. Robert Mone. Father was serving time and son came home from the army walked into a secondary school with a rifle and shot and killed a female teacher infront of the class. This was around 1967.
