How does bielsa get on at Leeds? Can’t speak a word of English and they currently occupy top spot. It’s not always what you say but how you say it. Plus he has stern to help him

 

Christopher Stern is the translater for him. He stands off cam during interviews and offen helps DS out - presume he does that in dressing room too

We have zero idea how influential Winkler was. Some assistants are almost important as the main guy - think Winstanley for Wilson. Other assistants do not much more than put the cones out during training - one of criticisms of Arsene Wenger was he did everything himself. Without being in the Know we just don’t know how important Winkler was to the season. Certainly you can’t base the impact of him going to two games - which we have 4 points out of incidentally.

Also remember Stendel and Winkler had never worked together before the summer and they knew each other from both attending a training course a few years back. It’s not exactly a life long partnership that’s been broken up
