    Just a bit of fun.

So let us pretend that Mr Cryne has seen the light and has decided to appoint 5 members of this BBS to a new board. Which of us should he chose. You may chose yourself, or you may nominate others.

Those wishing to apply or nominate for the jobs should know that the positions will be unpaid and that no willy measuring will be allowed on the BBS. Nevertheless, you should pretend that you will be involved in executive decisions and as part of the interview process you will be asked how much of our cash pile of say £15m that you would allocate to the following projects and why.

    a. Repurchasing the land and buildings from Mr Cryne and BMBC. Cost £6m
    b. Reconstruction of the West Stand to add 4000 more seats ( 7500 in total), new changing rooms and new executive facilities. Cost £10m
    c. Repay Mr Cryne's outstanding loan (say £8m).
    d. Blow the lot 12 new players and go for promotion, or go down in flames kamikaze like.
e Some other project of your choosing (which will not include getting pissed up or going on a long holiday somewhere warm).

The 5 places will be chosen by the other members of the BBS after a detailed interview process, which will be conducted in this thread.

I shall not be entering because I am too serious, too thin skinned, and not committed enough.

So we're back to making up figures to suit your agenda again?

How do you know BMBC would sell the land?

I would spruce the ground up a bit cost about a million quid and subsidise cheaper season tickets for a couple of seasons whilst investing in marketing and ending franchises ( to make up the shortfall. maybe 2 million quid. I'd spend 2-3 million on players all with resale value and look to contract correctly. I would build a proper supporters bar or pop up bar in the east stand lower cost 200 grand.

I'd stick the rest in a high interest account for the rainy days to come.

Bit laconic for you. Don't own a raincoat. I'm not sure I have really have, although I did have a cagoule that rolled up into a bag when I was at school. That was clean though.

So you're not going to justify your totally arbitrary figures then?

No such thing as a hight interest account these days. With that sort of money you might be paying the bank to keep it for you.....

It's going to cost over £250,000 to paint the Eaststand in anti corrosive paint this summer. I understand if not done then may have safety certificate problems.

There don't seem to be many applicants for the posts, Red Rain. And you started your thread before Hecky's departure to Norwich began to look more likely!

    Club for sale?

    Just a thought.

Some don't want to be "in", they just want to snipe from "outside". Its much more fun and there is no responsibility.
