Do we have a Hemsworth translator app in development? Or is that still some years off? :)

I'm using linear, and it's spot on, it's all there and accessible. I would STFU you, but I'm too nice.

This. I switched to hybrid and threaded and it doesn't work on those.

If there was a poll I would vote to bring back the STFU button. It's been missed since it was taken away.

Mine works, I just tested it on Whitey!

When I say 'works', I only mean technically - it doesn't actually make people stop talking *****. No matter how many times you press it. :(

I only ever used it on Mike Lowry for a laugh, though it was him who started it.

The buttons aren't there at all in threaded mode but they never worked properly in threaded mode anyway. They used to work on the first post you read in a thread but when you navigated to a reply they didn't work because the page doesn't/didn't change to a new page completely it just loaded the new post in the same page. The only way to get the buttons to work when you go to another post is to manually open the link to the post in a new tab or something similar so that it forced the page to reload.

What I mean is that when I go to Gally's initial post in this thread I get this URL: http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?184353-New-Features&p=1260279#post1260279
When I then click on your reply to it the page changes (ie it loads up your post) but the URL stays exactly the same so none of the buttons work.
If I then go back to the top and from the threaded list I right click on your reply and open in a new tab I then get the new URL (http://bbs.barnsleyfc.org.uk/showthread.php?184353-New-Features&p=1260332#post1260332) and can then use the buttons.

I've tested this on a computer at work as well and it was the same. Not sure if anything can be done to sort this.

While you're doing improvements can you remove the 'reply to thread' button and the main/bottom 'quick reply' box in the linear mode so that it forces users to click 'reply' or 'reply with quote' (takes no extra time for them at all as 'reply' simply opens the quick reply box for that post) which will stop everyone's problem with posts appearing in the wrong place when viewed in threaded mode.

Would that be possible?

brilliant.
Would it be possible to remove the 'reply to thread' button as well though? If they press that button it just makes the post appear in completely the wrong place for threaded view. Everyone would still be able to reply just by clicking the reply button under any specific post so nobody loses any functionality.

Reply to thread button IS needed, its like someone just replying to the first post in threaded. Easier to click that than having to scroll up and reply to the first post or even go back 3 pages to reply to the first post if using linear mode.

Any chance of rewording it to say 'reply to original post' then? People are currently using it to reply to the last post in the thread or are reading the thread, seeing a post they wish to reply to but leaving it while they carry on reading the thread and then hitting 'reply to thread' and addressing someone 7 posts up because to them it still shows in the same place, to everyone else it's wrong. If it was to say on the button 'reply to original post' it would at least remind them that that is which post it replies to.

Only just noticed that you've implemented that so thanks a lot andytyke hopefully it should stop or at least significantly reduce the amount of posts appearing in the wrong place for threaded view people without causing too much of a problem for the linear folk.
