Why would he? Potentially he might think the same as Stendel and that it needs more experience. He might be glad to miss out at the mo!
It was implied the same 'spreadsheet' approach was used when we appointed Stendel. So right now i hear they have programmed the script to look for :- Mandatory - Cheap - Looking for stepping stone to other things - High press - Can work with youth - won't mention loanees - Can work with youth - won't mention experience - can generate a 300% return on investment - will do as we say Optional - Competitive outlook Not required - Championship experience
Hopefully a lazy convenient link back to whatever our CEO is called's previous club connections. The last thing we need.
Exactly how I feel. I haven't given it a second thought. Right now, with what appears to be the owners intention of just making a few quid from player sales and with no interest in the actual success of the team on the pitch, it seems to be a bit irrelevant who we get. Totally uninterested. Which is sad, really.
If there’s nothing said tomorrow, and I fully expect there won’t be, I’m pretty sure that Murray will get at least the next 3 games to stake his claim. As others have said, it’s only a coach who’ll agree to the owners’ way of working that’s needed. If Murray is happy to work at developing young players for selling on at a profit the job could well end up being his. The next 6 months are massive in the short term future of the club. If the owners choose to continue on the current course with no apparent concern for the fans then ST renewal time will be interesting.
Watched an old interview with Murray today. He was talking about how his side needed older heads to add a bit of experience. Good luck Adam.
