There is no doubt that it was a very difficult game for the lad but he wasn't helped by being played out of position, having absolutely no cover from midfield, the rest of the team playing like pub players and a calamitous centre half alongside him (who was at fault for the second goal).

 

Jordan Williams was Barnsley's best player last night. As for Ludwig. For a 19 year old German playing on his home debut he did OK. With a few more games, I stand to be corrected but, He will be a good acquisition.

 

Surely it doesn’t matter if you’re paying left or right back and are simply out of position? I get you might not be able to cross and keep cutting Inside, and have “some” difficulty with passing, but not to be in the right place at the right time - it doesn’t matter if the White lines on your left or right,

 

This Ludwig kid ought to be nowhere near the first team at his age and lack of English football experience, then played out of position to boot. I cannot believe with the size of squad this board has assembled and all the academy youth we haven’t got someone equally or probably better to fill the left-back or right back role than this Ludwig kid.
We are fooked if that’s the case I’m afraid.

 

Maybe Struber has been told to find a way to play without Mowatt and Woodrow. Hence picking Ritzcracker and moving Woodrow back into midfield. We will be ****** if we adopt a fully continental spine. Radlinger, Soulbanger, Beethoven, Ritzcracker, Bahre and Scmidt.
