But still in the playoffs. Better options?
Possibly, but not many realistic ones.

Very true but we have to go all out to try and bring in proven manager who will get fans excited for the new season. The owners have the dollar so here’s hoping.

Not for me. Scottish Pub Football League and League One are two completely different animals. I would definitely give him a chance if he came in but wouldn’t be in my top 5 for the job.

I'm afraid we have missed our opportunity to secure his services.

Another unproven manager at this level along with Crowley. What would be the difference between these 2 and Morais with regard to experience in this league and above?

I tend to agree. More fool us. He should have been our first choice last time.

Jack Ross has proven himself to be a capable manager of a football team, regardless of the level, to the extent that he was voted manager of the season by his peers in the scottish league managers association. Thats good enough for me to suggest that it is not a punt of anything like the same magnitude that Morais was.

I had doubts at the time but even without the benefit of hindsight I would have picked him over José.

Mark Warburton would be good but could we offer him enough bread and would he have any dough to spend

Ipswich fans are very excited at the prospect of him taking the job there. Lots of comments along the lines of ‘of course he’d pick Ipswich over Barnsley - completely different level’ was one memorable line.

Struggle to see anything exciting about Warburton at all.

Did well at Brentford but I think time has proved that the system and structure that the owner has put in place there are the most important factor in their success. Departed under acrimonious circumstances.

Took a massive club out of the Scottish championship then fizzled out in the SPL. Departed under acrimonious circumstances.

Went to Forest. Didn't really improve them. Got fired after about 8 months.

I think forest were in 10th place when he got sacked. I'm not convinced myself but at least he knows the league.
