My choice of manager would be Shaun Maloney at Wigan. He's done a brilliant job their despite all their adversity. He's definitely a young manager on the up and one for the future.
He will be a Champ manager soon. Got loads of potential and worked against so much these last few months. Looked a good side at our place on New Years Day, arguably a side who should be nearer the top. Despite their shiteness away from the playing side, they’ll be up there next year with him in charge.
It’s funny because I follow a Wigan fan on twitter who criticises Maloney for the same stuff Collins got criticism for.
Why would anyone leave Wigan to manage Barnsley, unless as an earlier poster said, we were in the Championship.
https://fanbanter.co.uk/neil-warnoc...terics-as-pundit-for-leicester-v-southampton/ You can have all the qualifications and tickets in the world but ultimately it comes down to man management and personality. Take note BFC.
Looks like it could be the Austrian fella if true. Two League 1 managers who have looked really positive this season has been Matt Bloomfield and Gary Caldwell. Not sure Bloomfield would suit our style or leave Wycombe but Caldwell seems to have a style of football and policy that suits. It’s a shame we’re looking abroad again instead of managers who are trying to do it at smaller clubs. How anyone would turn their nose up at a return for Duff though is beyond me. I’ve said it before but it’s a shame Darren Moore has ruined his rep this season. Would have been one of my first choices a few months back if Collins would have gone earlier.
Richie Wellens has done a good job at Orient too. Got a promotion and had a solid season this year with a reasonably young and inexpensive squad.
Gerard Bangon? I think he took Aix FC to the 4th round of the Provence Regional Cup competition four years ago. He'd be a class pick.
