Anyone know anyone/anywhere I could go to for 4 new tyres putting on my car?

Had the MOT and service done at the weekend and they say my tyres are fairly worn darn and should be changed but they quoted silly money.

Have a look at www.blackcircles.com usually a decent price. Failing that just call round a few local garages with your tyre size. Some tend to be cheaper than others, with certain branded tyres.

Seconded. Malcolms, Cemetery Road. Never known them beaten on price - I've dealt with them for 36 years.

I live in Darfield, but spend a lot of time in Sheffield working and in the Blyth area as thats where my girlfriend lives. So any of those places would be fine

Depends what kind of tyre you're after. If it's just run of the mill budget ones, places like Kwik-Fit won't charge you that much, just put them straight as soon as they start any of their bullsh*t about faults with the car and they won't hassle you.

Become a regular with one certain garage for your tyres and you'll save yourself a few £ over the years as they like to look after their regulars.

Most bargain tyres give you a bit of fun in the wet. If I had an unlimited budget for tyres, all my vehicles would be fitted with Bridgestone's.

Did it fail the MOT or did it pass and they gave advisories?

There may be a few months wear left on them.

Get them checked by someone who isn't trying to sell something to you and see what your options are from there.

Passed, but they said break pads were 70% worn (not fussed about these as I can get these done really cheap by some one in family)

they also said that my tyres were getting towards to legal limit for wear so advised to change
