Our Puma (Genesis Sports) deal runs out this summer doesn’t it? Usually kit designs and orders etc are being finalised around this time of year I believe. So I wonder who the kit supplier is going to be for next year? I’d suspect the deal must be close to be being confirmed soon, as otherwise time is against us. I’d be happy with Puma again personally.
I don't really care which company makes the kit as long as they produce good kits. I saw this USA training top recently and thought it would make a great first team shirt for next year. It has a wee nod to the (in)famous Shaw Carpets number.
The Wycombe home kit would be a good away kit for us imo it totally negates any clash with oppositions colours who are similar to our home kit . I would buy a shirt like that with our badge on and I haven’t bought an away shirt since the Black Barnsley building society one.
I'd be unhappy keeping with Puma. Everything sells out far too quickly and kits look too similar to other clubs by using a basic template. We need a brand that will make us a uniquely designed kit and merchandise that's still available in to the new year.
Stocks are not to do with Puma, but the club. There’s a lead time for the gear, and the club have to weigh that up against ordering too much and not selling it. Our shirts have become bespoke though now haven’t they? Last seasons blue and gold, this seasons home and away are too. Going bespoke costs more and takes longer to organise. Nice are with Errea, who do some quite different kits - might be them?
I like Umbro kit as well. I've still got quite a few of our kits from down the years. My Avatar is the badge on the away strip shorts in the Season we beat Swansea to be promoted to the Championship . My favourite shirt is one my former colleagues presented me with as part of my retirement gifts. It's a home shirt and is signed by every member of the squad who beat Millwall at Wembley when we were last promoted.
It's not bespoke Cartier though. It's a shirt that will be a couple of quid at most to make. If we wanted to order on a Monday morning 500 home shirts, our club should be in a position to get them by the following Monday.
Once saw Chelsea in really bright blue shirts and shorts with Canary yellow numbers and a yellow stripe down the shorts with luminous yellow socks. It looked absolutely brilliant. Ordered same for my Sunday League side and it always gained compliments from our opponents and spectators alike. Love to see the Reds play away in a similar strip.
Our kits are bespoke this year. One has the club's mottoes all over its the other has the club crest all over it. You can't just pop down to the shop and buy those off the peg and see a badge on. Puma aren't at fault for us under ordering. That's the fault of our low risk, low return policy that sees us with a 50 inch portable in the corner of the ground, Nothing for sale in the club shop and cheap kids on the pitch.
Yes we are at fault for not ordering enough every single season. But if we want to chuck in a order for another 500 or whatever, our supplier should be able to sort it within a week. It's only a football shirt.
You don't appear to be listening to the part about it being a completely custom bespoke design though.
