First thing that needs to be sorted out is the head coach position obviously but then we still have the makings of a good side for next season. Assuming we lose Cole, Kane and Williams and we sign Grant, then along with Connell, Phillips and O’Keefe we have a decent midfield. Cosgrove showed his value yesterday and needs some game time. The defence with Pines back could be decent if it’s organised and we ditch the zonal marking. We need a striker to replace Cole and I’m wondering if a better coach could find a footballer in Watters. We also need a right back although I don’t know who we have in the youth team? Jalo, Cotter and Russell are all useful and Jalo in particular needs to come through next season. All this of course is dependent on whether the board want to build, rather than cash in on those I’ve just mentioned.
