    Utterly bonkers to not have your best player and only goal scorer take a penalty. He should have been taking the first one as it is up to the better players to try and get them off to a good start.

    It didn't help matters the idiot hitting the posy because of his stupid run up. If I was a manager anyone who didn't do a proper run up I would fine, even if they scored. It should be against the rules to stop your run up. It's not allowed in Cricket.

    Lots of players do that. Ronaldo used to, until they didn't make it to him. So smartly he moved himself up to 3rd or 4th. Not sure which order he is in now

    I really enjoyed that. Not many chances in the game but it was a proper chess battle. Croatia deserved that for not giving up when hit with an extra time sucker punch.

    I think France or England will win the tournament.... Don't think Croatia will have an answer to the pace of Mbappe or the multi pronged attack of England (whichever triumphs tomorrow)

    Modric is a threat but even with him they were pretty toothless in the final third. One shot...ONE! on target against Brazil (the goal) who themselves were not exactly great in that department. It took an indvidual flash of brilliance to break the deadlock (and no, I am not a fan of Neymar however talented a footballer he is).

    At some point, especially if England do win tomorrow, people will have to admit that we do, finally, have a great side. Even a narrow loss against France would not be a disgrace although I am sure some will be quick to jump on the 'we can only win against poor teams' bandwagon.
