I hadn't heard about it (down here in deepest Lincolnshire) but it certainly looks very good. Can't wait to hear what you locals say about it.
Yep was a good little piece and the film looks great. Amazing memories. Good to see John Dennis looking well & credit to Liam and the others who pulled it together, along with all the other things that they do, including for charity that shows the best of Barnsley fans. Credit to the club.
I haven’t seen this film. But I hope to God that it’s not in anyway patronising to Barnsley. I hope I’m wrong but the title suggests it could be. Lets hope it’s not just another ‘little owd Barnsley’ film with a fooking melancholy brass band soundtrack. I’m not a daydreamer - I’m of the solid belief that with the right financial backing - and we’ve got it now - that Barnsley could and should be an established Premiership club. Please tell me I’m wrong about this film.
I’m not bothered who made it. If it’s sorrowful self pitying sh.ite then they need to scrap it. Like I’ve said - I haven’t seen it. But the title does not fill me with much confidence.
Yeah you're bang on pal. I've spent 18 months grafting like f.ck outside of my day job to make a patronising film about my town. Wouldn't bother your arse.
Aye i’ve Also been under a rock and not seen it on here or owt ! Is it slagging town off and the glassworks ? Or is it about yer first wet dream ? I often day dream and i seem to remember a manager who was a BELIEVER so that must be it .
The trailers alone give me goosebumps. I don't find that patronising. I cannot wait for its release and folk like @Dyson and co need to be applauded for their efforts not disrespected.
