He's not young and has been in hulls squad all season. Not sure it would be him.

Haha I stand corrected, time flies! Think Toney did well though. And would also suggest Chapman, Pearson and Long were good signings. Regardless of whether they are loans or not you're never going to have 100% success rate. The point I'm making is 4-5 loan players were integral to our success last season, so why should it bother us if we have 4-5 this year?

He's usually spot on with this kind of stuff is Nixon. He faxed a Tweet to Chronicle 2 days prior to Dave Regis signing saying "Paddington Pele signing imminent"

We had 4 or 5 loans plus our own players though didn't we? It wasnt instead of Conor or Mawson or Roberts or Bree it was in addition to. We need to sign 4/5 permanent players. If we do that and then sign a couple of loans then I don't think anyone will object. If we flog the family silver and replace it with a pay day loan they might.

I see no reason why we can't look to sign permanently Ollie Watkins, Bradley Dack, Aaron Pierre, have a serious discussion with Isgrove about his future selling him 'the vision', Cameron Mcgeehan, Steve Mallian. We would have money left over for a couple of loans and to increase wages for our core players. This would be a cost neutral approach. In fact we would probably still bank some of the transfer proceeds whilst moving the club forwards.

On the plus side we wouldn't be able to mismanage the contract of a loan player.

Not a midfielder but "this is Anfield" is reporting we have enquire to take Connor Randal on loan. He's a right back so more a replacement for Bree

Yeah I'm fed up with being 8th in the Championship too. Take me back to the bottom of League One, that was so much better

Well this may be an overly optimistic view but as I see it I don't have much problem with signing loaners now. It is very difficult to sign new players in January and if we do they may not be good enough. If loanees can stop the gap giving us more time to find long term replacements to sign in the summer that is more sensible imo.

And yes, it's frustrating losing players from the position we're in, but even with all of our best players the chances of getting promoted were still quite smal. Let's say hypothetically we had kept all of of players, finished 8th and lost a lot of them for nothing in the summer, there would no doubt have been some complaining that we could have got good money for them in January

We've only got space for 2 more loans in our match day squad and by my count we need at least 3 more players..............
