Never worn a poppy and never will whilst politicians and royalty "solemnly" lay wreaths at the Cenotaph.

Hundreds of thousands of people lay wreaths at cenotaphs all over the country. I guess they like politicians and royalty are remembering those who sacrificed their lives ( quite probably many of their ancestors) and they all have every right to do so.

When you buy your Poppy remember the CEO of the British Legion is paid £95000 a year. That's an awful lot of Poppy's which need selling just to pay for one man wages . Mean while a squaddie I know who had his mate shot in the head at the side of him in Northern Ireland and has PTSD has been sanction by the DWP and has lost his disability benefit, he also has severe breathing problems. The British Legion haven't given him any help at all.
