None, but I'd bet athletes in all three of those sports would put your fat arse to shame lad. It's fine to not like a certain event, but to call elite athletes at the pinnacle of their sport "dweebs" while sat on the sofa tanning takeaways is laughable. Incidentally, I've met the US olympic fencer Miles Chamley Watson for work. He's 6ft3 and pure muscle - classic dweeb!
Fencing it is then. I'm sure big Miles and co will be thrilled you were rattled enough to whiteknight them on a football forum.
The Beeb can still show two live sports simultaneously, so surely they could break into coverage of one thing to go to another when something important is about to happen i.e. a Brit going for a medal. That doesn't seem to be happening at the moment. For instance Chelsea Giles has already started her bronze medal judo match, but the Beeb have only just gone to it on delay. Edit: I knew 5 minutes ago that she had won Bronze. I didn't want to spoil it for anyone.
Yeah, one channel should pick an event and stick with it, then the other should be the most fitting live action available with the talking head stuff in between.
Adam Peaty going for gold at 3:12 am so that's going on the planner to record. I watched earlier the Helen Glover BBC documentary from earlier this week and that's worth a watch for 45 minutes. Three kids including twins and went back in to training quickly to try for the Olympics.
Just watched the skateboarding on iplayer and I quite enjoyed it. Love the enthusiasm of the commentators, similar to the snowboarding.
This will mean nothing to most people, but the guy presenting or commentating on the skateboarding called ‘Tim’, also hosted the online live BrewDog AGMs the last 18 months. I thought he was called Michael and worked in our community team!
I haven't read any posts in this thread but IMO the crowds are fundamental to the success of any games, these empty stadia are making it like a ghost Olympics, it's most certainly lacking . I understand why though.
I usually enjoy watching and listening and I don't know why but I'm struggling to maintain any interest. I think the England team might have knocked the last bit of national interest out of me, perhaps?
Because without fans it looks like you’re watching time trials and qualifying? Plus the time difference his horrendous
Ha Ha Helen, I raced Peter Elliot on 4 occasions. I think he'd struggle to do 2 laps of my circumference these days
How do they manage to mess up so badly that they start a swimming event with a massive boat across the middle of the starting pontoon?
Wow lucky no one was seriously injured at the false start for the Triathlon what were they thinking .
