In case anyone wants to see the fiasco Camera boat apparently Someone will have some serious explaining to do and lucky no one was hurt
Love watching the swimming, triathlon and gymnastics, closely followed by the water polo, which is my main sport.
Crikey, there was some casualties at the end there, loads needing medical attention etc. Not properly watched triathlon before, massive respect for them!
I don't think we've got a firm medal target this year, I doubt we'll get anywhere near London (29) or Rio (27) but it would be incredible to match the 19 golds we won in Beijing. Don't understand why Peaty is swimming at 3am, I thought the medal sessions in the pool were always in the evening, with the qualifying heats earlier in the day. 3am here is 11am in Tokyo, seems crazy having it so early in the day.
Well done Tom Daley and Matty Lee! Gold medal in Diving! Bloody brilliant and if anyone deserves a Gold medal it's Tom Daley after all he's done for the sport. Well done
It's making me feel shattered just watching the mountain biking. Looks like it's going to be our day for gold medals!
At a wild guess its prime time in the USA - 3am in the UK is between 7pm and 10pm across most of the US
I'm absolutely delighted for Tom Daley. It feels like he's been on such a journey over 4 Olympics. Genuinely brought a tear to my eye. There is something very special about the Olympics. Where you see so many sportspeople scraping together funds to train and acquire the necessary equipment. Who make huge sacrifices for a dream. Then the manifestation of those hopes into medals and sometimes, often failure. Its a beautiful thing to see many of these Olympians display the professionalism, integrity and sportsmanship that they do. If only their better paid peers could do so too.
