Wasn’t there some excuse about Donny races on Saturday & Sheff Utd been at home as well so South Yorkshire Police have got our game moved as they don’t have the resources for all 3 at the same time? Could be wrong but I’m sure I read something along them lines a while back

Would have thought it would be easier and cheaper to Police Leeds/Barnsley on a Saturday, than SU/Southampton.
Suspect SKY probably wouldn’t want that though.

Would imagine Sheff Utd take priority been premier league. Probably much easier to move a championship game than a prem one

Agree, but was sort of my point, that if it’s for safety reasons surely SYP should take priority over SKY and their TV schedules/revenue.

It should but I question their safety motives. We have to play local clubs early but then you see games like Wednesday - Leeds on a Friday night for TV

As I understand it the police don't actually force anyone to move a game. They just advise it, I assume if the advice isn't taken then the policing cost increase so the club take the advice and move it. P
