Growing up it was 5pm on weekdays, 5:45pm on weekends - to the minute and it was the same meal on the same day every week (e.g. Jacket potato and cheese on Monday, some type of meat with potatoes and veg on Tuesday etc.). Now, it's around half 7/8 because of work and whatever I fancy that night.

    Last 3 nights:

Last night: burger at about midnight as it was my work's end of year night out (no, we haven't broken up for summer yet, they just had it early)
Night before: Sausage roll, chips and beans
    Night before that: Toby Carvery

Tonight will be a homemade stiry fry, probably at about 6/7.

Haha, I do love a good Toby's (we call it Toby Carbery) but I think this was my second one (or maybe 3rd?) this year!

Only two or three this year? It seems that you mention them about once a fortnight. I may or may not imagine a lot of things that haven't actually happened

OK, let me think. I had one with my new workmates about 2 months ago as a VERY late Christmas do. I've had 2 recently as treats for doing various things (such as being brave and having a wisdom tooth pulled and to celebrate our offer being accepted on a house).

I don't want to criticise your workmates too much but they don't seem to be very good at using a calendar. Christmas do in spring and end of year do when you're still working.

    How's the house thing going?

I need to change what I'm eating tonight now - I've just got 2 large free Papa Johns pizzas being delivered tonight thanks to the Virgin Red app. They give away 2000 free pizzas on England match days - this is our 6th one! :D

It's live now btw for anyone who is a Virgin Media customer and has the app. It goes quick though and has been live for 20mins so will probably end any minute.

Haha, they are a bit rubbish!

The house I mentioned on here before fell through as the vendors decided not to sell. There's one over the road from us that came up a while ago which would be perfect but is valued quite high. We were beaten by someone who offered asking but that then fell through as they decided to get a different house so we've now offered asking. It's probably not really worth that amount but it is to us so we just have to hope that we can get the mortgage. Annoyingly, my boss is leaving in September and it seems almost certain I will get her job (and the double pay) but we can't use that in the mortgage application as I don't have it yet.

Much like in football a house is worth what someone is willing to pay so if you're willing to pay it then it's worth it. If you don't get it then don't let it get you down because as you've just proven yourself there's always another and with your possible promotion (good luck) it will open up more opportunities for you

Pizza is still live btw. You just need to download the free Virgin Red app and put in your Virgin Media account number to verify you are a customer. The app in general is pretty rubbish but free pizza is free pizza.

Very. I don't have Virgin either so app would be useless to me. It's OK I'll just have bread and jam while you stuff your face
