    I've just returned from Spain too, where I've been eating seafood all week. Octopus is somewhat rubbery, but when grilled with paprika and garlic I just can't resist it.

    Perhaps it was where I had it. It was very soft and not rubbery at all. Was a good tapas restaurant so was probably cooked right. Just didn't agree with me.

    Admittedly I'd been on the beer for the day. Took in an espanyol match. Very enjoyable. Atmosphere slightly different to Oakwell. Sitting in the seat enjoying a pint & fans singing, drumming, waving flags for 90 minutes. Suppose it helps they won 4-1.

    How do you translate a dry heave into text?

    You can get squid from the fishmongers on Barnsley market. It's frozen and comes with about 10 in a box and they have to be cleaned out when de-frosted (they're full of snot like stuff and a plasticy splint) but they're alright to cook with once prepared.

    You need a shovel to capture the old octopus ...due to the suckers on its tentacles it fastens its self to the floor ...you then pick up the shovel and belt the octopus over the head with it ....straight away it puts all tentacles on its head as it goes ouch ...you then scoop it up with your shovel and put it in your bag....hope this helps

    Now you see the fish I'm fine with. In fact it's made me a bit hungry. But anything with tentacles should be restricted to very deep water or the occasional appearance in a b listed horror movie.

    Had Octopus balls for lunch. Didn't know they had them. Very nice too! Takoyaki Octopus balls at the Japan Centre off Leicester Square.
