Excellent results and sounds like we played some great stuff.

If we win at Villa I genuinely fear for my safety. I'd laugh so much I'd just fall apart. What a sweet, sweet victory it would be.

Go to play 3rd in the table. Another clean sheet, another point. Fantastic. If we feel we could have won with the chances we had it just signifies how well we did

 

Great point that, with Villa losing yet again their season is over so 3 points there is possible

 

Hourihane already getting criticism on Villa forum

 

They can give him back then

 

I'm not saying he's going to flop - certainly far too early for anything like that - but there have been plenty of players who were somewhat cult heroes at one club, left and fell into oblivion.

Obviously, hope that doesn't happen to him, just sometimes a club is a good fit and it's difficult to recreate the magic elsewhere.

 

Very frustrating all around regarding Hourihane. He really would have been better seeing his contract out with us. Villa are in a mess.

 

Excellent away point at the third from top team at start of play, three clean sheets in the four games since all the departures. Not bad for a 'weak' team set to plummet down the table.

P.S. Really don't like the match thread idea, nor the demand to change the style of the BBS from the unique to a clone of the mundane & dull style of other sites.

Goals are really drying up and that's a worry.

Excellent point, especially given all the comings and goings. We've lost some good players but we clearly have a system where those coming in have a clear understanding of what's required of them and it's kept simple.

Not been able to keep track of the game today so was glad when I logged on and was able to catch up on what happened in one thread.

I don't get the argument as to why wasting half an hour of my time would better than being able to catch up in 5 minutes

Dull game. Very cold. We were slightly outplayed but defended well and had the better chances.

Because if everyone only spend 5mins on here just checking one thread then the board would grind to a halt. Different strokes for different folks though of course.

 

Thats something that concerns me as well right now, even though the point and clean sheet away at Reading was/is a very good one.
The stats say that very few of our shots & headers now in matches are even on target, let alone not going in.
