Great news. The more folk we can get inside Oakwell the better, as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully, any folk taking the club up on it's offer shouldn't be subjected to crass, asinine comments by people who regard themselves as 'better' or 'reight' fans.

It's fantastic for those whose reason for not attending much is purely financial.

However, they've ended up doing exactly the sort of offer that I've said previously has less chance of a high take-up - linking a midweek + Saturday game.

Many people aren't season ticket holders because they either work midweek evenings or Saturdays. An offer like this is no good to those people.

 

I can't make midweeks either so can't take advantage of the offer, bit of a shame it's not two Saturday games.

 

I can't make the Walsall game, but I can make the Fleetwood game, so I'll buy a ticket for both.

No crass comments from me to those who take up the offer. It's a test of those who cite the price as the reason for not attending though, that can't be a reason for these 2 games (I fully accept there'll be some who can't attend for other reasons). But value wise it's a great offer. I hope to god it has an effect on sales.

 

Don't wish to knock your optimism, but we only got 18 to 19k in the premier league. Be lucky if we get 10k (based on over 50 years support).

Great offer IF the club advertise and market the **** out of it otherwise a reduction without telling anyone is as pointless as taping a cheque for £2m under a seat at oakwell without telling anyone and then wondering why it hasn't been cashed.

2000 at the most maybe more if we play some nice positive entertaining stuff to entice folk back.

Then again it may be asinine to expect folk to return in their droves when we have a manager who thinks our performance against The Pikeys was excellent.
