    Brilliant gesture by Barnsley FC. I had my treatment at St James Cancer Hospital at Leeds.
    I was amazed at the number of mini buses bringing patients in from outlying Towns and villages.
    Most of the radiotherapy equipment there is owned by Allianz and they charge the NHS for its use.
    There are posters in the Hospital foyer inviting donations and they have a calendar of events to raise money to fund
    the provision of new equipment and research into the causes of the disease.
    There are hundreds of folk fighting this terrible disease at Weston Park who will therefore benefit from any funds
    that are raised from this event to provide much needed services.
