Why do I not like the owners? Their despicable lack of respect for the fans is why. Why do I assume they are to blame? Because of their despicable lack of respect and misinformation given to the fans is why. Since coming here they have a long list against their name. If they want people to automatically back them they need to earn that trust and respect and they've made no attempt to o do so.

Also I didn't say I think the council want to own 100%, I said I have a theory that their plan was to sell their share to Conway and then buy crynes share meaning they still own half the land

 

Not an unreasonable interpretation. Personally, I have no idea what it's all about or who is the bad guy. Maybe we should let this thread rest for now until we have some sort of statement from the Cryne side. Perhaps then we can take sides and send the BBS into meltdown.....

That's not true. You wouldn't get planning permission to start building on a rented property. Same applies here. I completely understand why the owners would want to buy the stadium.

Potentially yes. I would hate us to move away from oakwell but if that's was a choice between moving to a new stadium and not having a club at all I think I know what we would all choose.

 

That would be some impressive lateral thinking by someone to come up with that (but it is feasible).

Genuinely - I haven’t been particularly enamoured by them since they came in, based mainly on their methods of squad ‘improvement’ (and there are signs that lessons have been learned in that regard) - but other than the Stendel statement I’ve never really noted too much to make me feel disrespected as a fan, or that I’m being given misinformation.

You are very angry at them, I don’t see the evidence to suggest why anyone should be.

There's a thread somewhere, think it's by Loko entitled "Questions for Dane Murphy".

There's about 15 or 20 questions that ST wanted asking, all regarding lies that Conway had spun. From the matchday experience to Diaby and his suspension, to the season pass benefits to the transfer policy. If I can find it I'll tag you, but don't hold your breath because it was around the new year I think.

 

It was a question, hence the question mark, not an accusation. And clearly you've answered.
