You may be confident of picking points up but you can’t be confident others will not and at this stage we needed to be in the mix to make any future points count imo .

There's a 'rota' for pre-match press, where we try to share the responsibility around. Unless, for example it's a derby game or there's an obvious connection. So we did Cauley pre-Fulham for example. Probably put Mowatt out this week. But in general, we try to put different players up each time, and that's what the journalists like too.

Post-match is a different beast altogether. There's drug testing for starters, so that limits you. Then there's the fact that the subs do a warm-down with Luke on the pitch during the time we do press, so that limits us again. If someone had a great impact, you'd try and use them. For example, we planned to ask Aapo on Tuesday night but he was getting a shower after his warm-down and we were running out of time so did Elliot instead who'd just left the shower. Tougher in these COVID games, less staff, more rules etc.

We plan to use Mowatt this week, so we didn't want to use him yesterday. We've used Sole a lot recently, Cauley did pre-match, and we've used most of the other lads in the last couple of weeks. And so we thought it was right that Marcel did it, as he's played a lot, speaks well and hasn't done one in a while.

Interesting read that. Suppose it would be just the same 3 blokes otherwise.

    Cheers.

If only he'd got these two mixed up.
