Doesn't look like the club can win here.

People ask for a flexi-ticket, they announce one is on its way and people moan it's not coming quick enough.

Id much rather spend an extra fiver watching us against Newcastle in a packed Oakwell than paying £20-25 to watch Bristol Rovers in a half empty Oakwell.

We are very competitively priced in regards to most other teams in the league - some of which have revenue streams infinitely bigger than ours.

So what if the flexi ticket isn't going to include Villa and Newcastle. If it's available after the Forest game that still gives you 5 games from 13 home games for £100. That means you can probably use it at home to Leeds and home to Wednesday and 3 other games for the equivalent cost of around £40 - which is great value.

As a side note, I don't know the ins and outs of who runs the site/attends the fan engagement meetings etc - but to have a go at people who voluntarily give up their time and effort to try and improve the customer experience for the vast majority of us is quite frankly shameful.

The club, the team and the majority of fans are pulling in one direction at the moment - for the first time in decades. Can the couple of moaning Michaels please just give it a rest.

But I don't have a go at you and only point out where I think you're wrong and being unfair with your attitude towards the club and tickets.

Big difference. No need to be ridiculous about it (had to get your favourite word in)

What's stopping them from charging us more?

How do we know it isn't reciprocal pricing.

We're talking about a football match which is 8 months away.

I'm blown away by this thread. Possibly the best times to be a Barnsley fan, and this is happening. Unreal

That would make perfect sense surely? Potentially one of our biggest gates of the season, the likelihood of it being close to a sell out. The last thing the club needs is to sell say 3000 flexi tickets, then people rock up to use them only to find that the game is sold out.

At least they shouldn't have that problem with the period of games afterwards because as far as I can see, there's no potential sell out games until we play Wednesday in December.

Its strange how taking payment from someone changes your views totally.

The complaint wasn't even about you. I specifically mentioned the SLO not reporting back.

Why? For stating a fact? Whitey said that he assumed there had been a report back f the meeting I told him that all I'd seen was those posts from you. That is true isn't it?

Whitey was talking about feedback from the fan engagement forums and that was your response. You then went on the mention SLOs, who are also only doing their best for Barnsley fans in their free time. You moan like mad about anything and everything, you get outraged by issues that don't even effect you, but are you actually prepared to do anything about it? Are you buggery!

I have it on fairly good authority that the flexi ticket will be announced before the Villa and Newcastle games.

Of course i disagree, as clearly do many others on here. The size off this thread and it's responses to it are manifest. Despite fan engagement there are still issues with marketing, merchandising, catering and the general match day experience. Perhaps we should get the 'hotel inspector' in? Alex Polizzi would sort this out in no time! :) However i do believe some of the replies have been well out of perspective and truly vitriolic at times, which is quite concerning, and rather sad.

Aye, but there's people on here that work in similar roles for much bigger companies than BFC.

So it's best to hold off buying tickets for those games and use the Flexi ticket.

It doesn't make any sense at all. Taking attractive games out of the flexi-ticket isn't going to make it very popular. The upshot of doing that is some of our supporters who can't afford category A prices are excluded from the game. Surely going against what the flexi ticket was supposed to achieve.

People aren't supposed to just 'rock up' on the day with a flexi-ticket. You book online or at the box office beforehand in the usual way and use one of your credits/vouchers. If you leave it so late you can't get a seat it's tough, the same way as it would be for a cash customer.

I thought the flexi ticket was to cater to people who can't get to enough games to warrant a season ticket, and not about devaluing the product of the club by giving significant discounts to people only interested in attending Newcastle, Villa, Leeds and Wednesday?
