I presume you're not talking to me specifically.

I have had one for yonks.

I just wonder how others who don't have one can get one.

Six quid a week over the year in a moneybox is an easy way to save so you aren't looking for over 300 quid in one go. Less than cost of a couple of pints at a lot of places. If you people need to try and save twice as much depending on circumstances there is this.....

Pretty sure the club did a pay monthly plan on season tickets.

Failing that, it's not difficult to get a 12 month 0% interest credit card.

I'll be buying a flexi ticket and hope the idea flourishes. I'm not wetting my pants at the deal though. It means I'll be paying the same as I did in the Ponty last season. A price that I grumbled about and said was far too much. To appreciate a saving, you have to think the original price is credible. This season's category pricing simply isn't. Those prices should never have been set in the first place. It may appear a good deal to some, but only in the context of those £30+ prices, never seen before at Oakwell. It's better than nothing though, seeing as we're stuck with category pricing this season. I hope it remains as a ticketing option, gets expanded, becomes more competitive and is made available straightaway next season.

£23 to watch us against Newcastle/Villa/Leeds/Weds etc in the 2nd tier is very good value for money. Unless some club bucks the trend and really announces twenty is plenty or the FA put a cap on ticket prices for the rest of the football leagues it's what we're stuck with.

Only if you've bought into the idea that some games should be priced higher than others.

Yes it's good in the context of current pricing, but without the hyper inflation of the sky years we should be paying no more than 15 quid.

Two years ago I was paying £18 for 2nd tier football with the Trust discount.

Opposition shouldn't matter though because we are barnsley fans who go watch our team.

Of course it should matter. Do you know how much they're going to make out of the Villa, Newcastle, Leeds & Weds games? We need to be able to compete.

Good on you, that's probably why we struggled year on year and then went down, we had no money because we were giving £18 tickets away...

I went to more games than I would have done at full price and I'm sure others did as well.

Haha, I can't be on with all that, I never use a purse. I generally keep my cards loose inside my jean's pocket or handbag pocket if I'm carrying one. I'd quite like one so I could put the fixture card in the other bit with the ST and so it's quickly obvious that it is my season ticket and therefore I don't need to take it to work etc. in the bunch of cards I have stuffed in my pocket/bag.
