Only if you want a divorce.

I've heard restricted view seats are now in the most expensive category.

Missed a very good opportunity to get folks in. Could have done the lot for £20 or so, I'm a s/t holder and I wouldn't care a toss if it meant getting more through the gate.
Instead doubt there'll be more than s/t holders in attendance, if they bother.

I think they're as resigned to the inevitable as most of us are. Imagine they'd have some sort of offer on if the guys on the pitch looked remotely capable of staying up, like a "roar the lads to safety" campaign. Instead, it's just gonna be the usual numbers sat in silence watching us, in all likelihood, limp to another 4 home games without a win.

Doesn't matter how cheap we make tickets, very few extra Barnsley fans are going to come because we're crap. There'll be a decent turn out of away fans whatever we charge, so there's little point in reducing the prices.

Having said that, £36 for an adult ticket for the Sheff Utd game is way, way, way too much. I've no love for Sheff Utd, but I'm very uncomfortable with us charging their fans so much. There's no justification for it. Bolton and Bristol games are also too much.

Not reducing our ticket prices from the usual for these game categories I can understand. Setting the category pricing so high in the first place is just ****** up.

I went to see Kerry play Kildare at GAA football on Saturday night. Under 16s get in free.
If you want to maintain and build a fanbase that's one place to start.
Under PC we couldnt afford to do it. If the new owners are serious about developing the club they are in a position where they CAN afford it.

It's about a third of the cost of a season ticket, for just 4 matches. An absolute scandal.

Yep I worked that one out, but I didn't post it because I expected that some smart @rse might try telling me you can get them cheaper.

2 week break to next game time to promote an end of season offer £50 for 4 games to encourage stay at home supporters and fill the ground not watching classical entertaining football.at the moment.

£50 for 4 games. That works out below minimum wage. Need to offer a bit more than that.

I’m going to take my son to Notts Forest away instead of Sheff Utd at home. £22 or £41 it’s a no brainier as I don’t live in tarn so travel costs are the same.

I would go even lower with four for forty. Box office is going to be quiet for home ticket sales. Lets just say someone has 117 to buy in advance for all four games. They might as well put it towards a season pass for next season.

You can debate what a fair offer is both for indiviuals and families but this has been a difficult season for many reasons. Under 18s in for a fiver for me time for the new owners to connect with the town do something to create an atmosphere. Despite poor form still everything to play for.

The whole "category" thing leaves me feeling underwhelmed.

"Category A" suggests something worth watching, and anticipates a large crowd and a great atmosphere.

In reality it's just another afternoon of sitting quietly whilst watching the away fans celebrate.

Time to get things on the pitch sorted before asking fans to pay more for games that might look exciting on paper.

As others have said no incentive means no part timers will come along.

Price or performance are the only 2 things we can use to entice floating fans, price has been tried before and they making sure it’s not performances either!

4 matches for £60, 4 match season pass if you like, costs the club nowt to promote it online and in the media bulletins, you can charge the away fans whatever you like then although seeing them off because they saw us off is of course bonkers

This talk of reciprocal pricing and ticket categories (not that I see how we can be doing both) got me thinking: now the remaining prices are available does anyone have the numbers to hand to compare the total prices we charge visitors for the season with the corresponding away prices for our supporters? In other words, based purely on admission costs do we charge more than we’re charged or vice versa?

Edit: reworded this as I made a mess of my question first time around.

I started comparing this last season and then forgot half way and gave it up. I wouldn't mind seeing it if someone else has compiled it for this season though. @SuperTyke loves finding stuff out. Go on ST, you know you want to ;)
