why do we need a player like that though? By the looks of that video, he's only good at holding the ball, picking a killer, pass, tackling and scoring goals from midfield, I mean what else did the Romans do!
A showreel is always going to show the best bits, but on the snippets, that looks a very important signing. May actually be good for the development of our other midfielders too, to see how to shield the ball, retain it and how to win the ball without even having to tackle. Very impressive. Welcome aboard Kenny,
Aye show us the **** bits, after all it`s those that we usually get to see. Seems like Stevie Mallan Mk2.
Stevie Mallan mk2? Behave. Yes it’s a showreel but the passing, composure and defensive awareness he showed makes him look like exactly what the squad needed. Welcome aboard Kenneth
Hope it's not just wishful thinking but there are bits of that video that are eerily reminiscent of Conor!
All I want from our midfield is the ability to tackle and be strong on the ball; to look up and pick out a forward pass more often than a backwards one; to drive the play forward instead of stagnating it on the half way line. One of the biggest gripes I have with modern football, not just our team, is how often a midfield player gets hold of the ball and automatically turns backwards or sideways. Pass it to Cavare, or Pinillos, have another think about it, then back to Lindsay. Then let him hoof it up field to no one in particular. It's a midfielder's job to be creative, not a defender's. If a defender does something like that it's a welcome bonus but it's not their prime job. Dougall looks like a good addition. If he can be integrated into the team, and play like he did in those clips, he will become a crowd pleaser. Give him the number four shirt as well and, well......echoes of a certain Scottish midfielder that we used to have?
