How many times are we going to persist with this STUPID tactic of passing the ball around the penalty area? Most teams do it and I hate to see it. I seem to remember Johnstone being touted as a future England goalkeeper. Pathetic defending and not just him.
Huddersfield look impressive after a dismal last season which their manager was possibly lucky to survive. They’ve managed to cut their wage bill significantly at the same time. That’s why I’m willing to stay patient with Poya and give him the benefit of the doubt for next season, albeit that we’re looking odds on to be starting in the league below. I don’t sense the same disquiet behind the scenes that was gathering pace towards the end of Schopps tenure so let’s give the guy a chance.
I look at West Brom under Bruce and it reminds me of Tottenham under Mourinho or us under Schopp. For me they looked better under Ishmael. I doubt they'd have continued to slide under him. If Poya were to leave. I'd take Val back if he wanted to come. Not because of the football but young players need an identity built from firm leadership and belief. I think belatedly we've got that under Asbaghi. If we'd appointed him sooner we wouldn't be in this mess.
Tomorrow is a "free hit" for Poya. Not many will be expecting anything other than a complete drubbing. May as well just go for it and drop the "defend at all costs" approach.
Poya is on Keith Hills tightrope. He doesn't want to cut his nose off in spite of his face. He sees that we're only five points adrift and sees the value in every point. I like the fact he's talking about striking a balance in play because it does need that. However, not to appease the fans.
Very impressed by Huddersfield. Slick, full of running, break quickly and the defence don't fu¢k about. Good side.
I reckon he'll do the opposite. Uber defensive approach, invite more pressure, Anderson and Helik will kak themselves and we'll lose about 7-1. I hope I'm proved wrong.
Fair play to come back! What a season of two halves for the Baggies though! They've sunk like a stone
Brilliant, last thing I want is Hudds going up and skint Phil getting his hands on the PL money. Dean Hoyle (now a minority shareholder) has had to bail them out significantly this season otherwise they'd have been looking at administration.
2 goals in quick succession. Still think big Val would have got them to the play offs if they'd stuck with him.
They can still do it via the play offs though. They’ll definitely think it’s possible, especially after what happened when they went up last time. Won the play offs without scoring a goal and also had a negative goal difference through the regular season. Unbelievable….
They showed some fight at the beginning and then for that owriod on which they scored. Not a lot in between imo.
Can't stand them mate. Phil Hodgkinson (previously owned Southport) used the parachute money to buy the club from Dean Hoyle. Only problem is that Phil is a little bit skint to own a championship club and doesn't have have the capital to run them without help. If they go up then he wins big time having spent no money or very little!!! I really hope they don't go up as I suspect they will look to cut costs.
Living in Holmfirth and surrounded by Town fans they are supremely confident that they will go up. They think they are destined for the Premier league. Having to bite my tongue as the arrogance is astounding.
In fact I missed all this but it only happened recently. So Hodgkinson gone and Dean Hoyle to take back control of the club. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ex...d-town-financial-phil-hodgkinson-22055734.amp https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yo...dersfield-town-back-to-dean-hoyle-3589582?amp
