Yeah, that’s what we tend to do on a night out but sometimes the ale drinkers point out that they go where we like so I tend to go in too. It’s just massively not me in terms of everything about it: the drinks, music, general atmosphere. It’s easily the worst part of my night.

I love it but I absolutely get why it isn't for everyone. My friend will drink an interesting can of beer or a cider but without going up to the bar she didn't know what she could pick.

It's not really been like that so was quite surprised really. It's not been that rigid in the places I've been so not half as bad as expected. Think it's better suited locally and not in chain pubs though. Have a try and report back?

The fruity Sam smiths beers might suit you. The Apricot is nice.

    Same here.

I dislike beer, cider and lager at the best of times (makes me really bloated and gassy), but I can’t stand real ales.

Freedom or Yorkshire lager is normally on tap.

Its rather drinkable. It has flavour unlike fizzy piss lagers eg Carling

Never tried that particular brand I must say, but I’m just generally not a fan of that type of drink. Just doesn’t agree with me.

Whenever I go out (which I admit is rare) I’m a spirit man. Rum, gin, whiskey are my go-to. Love a good cocktail too. Long Island Iced Tea, Zombie, Martini, Margarita.

You're almost certainly right, driving around beer gardens are overflowing and I see pictures on Facebook of groups of people all crowding in for a photo.

I find the acoustics in the No 7 terrible, it's so loud and echoey. My wife is German but speaks English well, although not as well like wot I do. She can't have a conversation in English in there, she just can't understand what people are saying because of the noise.

Having lived on the West Coast of the USA for the past 25 years, I like the Old No. 7 for a good old IPA, or two, or three, or ...

Is the No7 an Acorn pub?

Heard numerous positive things but didnt know if it just serves its own beer (if Acorn) or if it had a broader spectrum of guests and good rotation.

I looked on Acorns website a while back and it doesnt look like they can deliver. Love their Gorlovka, great taste for such a low abv impy stout.

I only get to go there a few times per year with my brother, if I'm lucky. They do have a large selection of Acorn beers, but I do believe they have a regular rotation of guest beers.

Yes, real shame. Though you can collect I saw. Just a bit of a trek for a few bottles ;-)
