Not studied it in any depth but I get the impression that most teams have done better when playing away this season than they usually do - probably linked to there being no home fans ???

Think it was commented on Match of the Day that Aston Villa had more points from Away matches than from Home matches - BFC done better than usual re. winning away games this season ??

    Any statisticians on here?

Makes sense. Home fans give the advantage and that's been removed.

My daughter has just handed in her Maths Dissertation based on this very subject.
I don't understand the maths side, but the basic conclusion was that 45% of Premier League teams now have a negative home advantage, so they win more games away than at home, compared to 10% when fans were in stadiums in 2018/19.
The influencing factors = lack of home support and possible lack of persuasive influence of home fans on refereeing decisions. I'm not sure how the latter was calculated, but the first bit was based on stats.

Post-lockdown we've picked up roughly 54% of our points through home game, and 46% from away games. Pre-lockdown, and going back as far as 2006/07, the split is around 60/40, although our away form in early in this period was poor. We had a couple of seasons (2015/16 & 2016/17) where the split of points picked up from home/away games was exactly 50/50.

    So, in summary, not really.
