    We don't.

But to add a comment, I suspect there is a bit of. Swiss Cheese effect here, where there would be several holes in the whole process, both clubs, EFL etc that contributed. For example BFC may have issued documents too late, but maybe due to Swansea finalising their end very late and maybe it took 25 seconds instead of 5 for the EFL Fax to print the paperwork etc etc

    I don't think we can.
If we do well - then there will be less of 'what might have been'.

But If we do poorly - then there will be a lot more of 'what might have been' - especially if we start to see comments on here like ........ how the hell did we lose that game, all those chances and yet we didn't score.

As Hecky says - 'Barnsley haven't the players that can pass the ball like other teams in the Championship'.
So they need to move the ball quickly.

Just take note of how many times the ball bounces straight back at us when it's passed up field to our current relatively small strikers.
None of our strikers are big enough or strong enough to hold the ball up.
That is to say - holding the ball up long enough to allow midfielders to join into the attack.

Isgroves and Hammills game will also be reduced because there isn't a striker at the club tall enough to offer a threat of heading a goal.
Consequently the vast majority of those great crosses into the middle by Isgrove and Hammill will just go to waste.

McBurnie offered a pivotal role at the club.
    That's gone now.

I don't believe we will ever know the real answer to that question ST. Doug O'Kanes article in Fridays edition of the
Chronicle says " Oliver McBurnies move to Barnsley was cancelled after the EFL found that the appropriate
paperwork was not submitted by the end of the summer transfer window. The 21 year old striker was announced
as a Reds player on a season-long loan , 50 minutes after the 11pm deadline last Thursday, with the Oakwell club
believing they had done the deal with minutes to spare. However, after an investigation by the authorities that lasted
all week, it was confirmed that the administration process of the transfer was deemed to have not been met."

Chief Executive Gauthier Garnier said : " We are naturally extremely disappointed, but we respect the FL's decision
and thank them for their communication throughout the process. We are disappointed, but understand that although
the player was identified as a significant target for the Club over two months ago, we were unable to try and effect the
registration until the last moments of deadline day."

Hecky commented " Swansea always assured us that we were going to get him all along and we took them at their word. We couldn't do anything until Swansea agreed to let him go."

From those statements, are we to assume that in waiting for pending clearance/medicals on Bony and Sanches , Swansea delayed in giving us the green light regarding submitting the forms to register McBurnie at which point, when we could, unfortunately, it's now apparent we were time barred.?

You can assume what you want.

But I'll stick with what Hecky said ......'Swansea ASSURED us we were going to get him all along'.

    But we didn't !!!!

In ASSURING Barnsley that they were getting the player - then Barnsley do not look for other options in this vital part of the team.
So Swansea have foooked us up - and (hopefully) they have probably upset McBurnie to the extent he tells them to foook off.

Swansea have put Barnsley in a precarious position with the loss of this pivotal player.
Fingers crossed fooking Swansea City are relegated this season.
