Gough - Anybody decent leaving Scotland goes to league's 1 and 2. Durham - Liverpool have signed Robertson, he's not that bad. Gough - Half of Barnsley's recent signings are from Scotland. Durham - You are in the Championship Darren, at least until May.
comes across really clever doesn't he, like he knows his stuff. Hard to imagine him being conned for a million quid to be fair..
Two plonkers to be honest, Im not interested in what they think they know about us and about footy in general.
No he isnt !! That has been put to bed more times than my grandson`s teddy bear ! he wqas bought a Glenn Hoddle shirt when he was a young lad and because of that he looks out for their results. He is a Barnsley FC fan. Although he goes to watch football wherever he is .
I believe what I read in the Sun and BBS, and so I know he's a MK Dons ST holder and Michael Parkinson is a Reading season ticket holder Dickie Bird and David Bradley do attend games however
Pre show Durham and Gough have a chat One agrees he likes white the other agrees he likes black. They mention it at start of show and following phone in has London cabbies ringing in as fonts of knowledge.
Hmm, listen to him when he's on the radio; he refers to Spurs as 'us' and Barnsley as 'they', noticed it more than once.
absolute nonsense. A Barnsley fan doesn't get a season ticket at MK Dons, Claim allegiance to Spurs and show support for Leeds United! The guys clueless & embarrassing
Gough has said, on air before, Barnsley are his first team, Spurs his second, and his third team is whoever his good pal, Anthony Kay, plays for.
No, it is you that is posting nonsense. I have told you the truth, whether you care to accept that is your choice, it doesnt make it a lie , just because you are a buffoon !
I've had numerous arguments with him on Twitter and on the radio. The last one was about him saying we didn't belong in the championship, when I made the point to him that we had spent more seasons at this level than any other club they cut me off!
A Barnsley fan doesn't do the things I've already mentioned. He's like Jeremy Clarkson, always belittling the place he's come from!
When I played for Barnsley Boys with him (81-85) he was a Spurs fan. Not spoken to him since he made his England debut versus New Zealand (early 90's at a guess), so I dunno if that's changed. In his defence I was a Spurs 'fan' in 1981 too. That said I went to every Barnsley match.
He sat near us at the Cup Semi against Cardiff City at Wembley. He was very animated every time we attacked and like us all looked dischuffed when the final whistle went and we'd lost 1-0.
Still better than the many people i know who are from Barnsley but support sheff wed and now hate Barnsley that i just dont get.
I don't get this argument. If you listen to him regularly there's plenty of reasons to knock him. Him & Durham both come across as idiots but I get what they do, one takes one strong view & the other takes the opposite & they basically take it in turns to sound like an idiot. It makes for good radio but inevitably he comes across as a stupid Yorkshireman a lot of the time
