    I wonder why we don't bother anymore, too much of a gamble? Was always interesting seeing an overseas player arrive and wages were probably cheaper too.

    Being honest we've had teams in the past with too many foreign players. It was a novelty when they first started to come across, a few diamonds among them. For every Gorre there's an Arizmendi, every Ferenczi there's a Ten Heuvel. Over the last 20 years or so, our best teams have consisted of a core of British players. The squad we have now overall have huge hearts, a lot of foreign players which have arrived have had the heart of a pea.
