amazing - a bit of sense

we should ban pickpockets from Oakwell too - who knows if i'm sitting near some pikey who'll have my wallet from me at a moment's notice?

or maybe i accidentally brush past someone who's a raving mentalist psycho - i should be protected from them going off on one and punching me in the face.

maybe there's a few drug addicts who will beat me up behind the east stand for a fiver to get their next fix?

your point is valid - if you ban one criminal you ought to ban the rest. incidentally i've been done for speeding 3 times, maybe i should be banned from driving near Oakwell on a matchday in case i run over someone?

    ok then

list examples of which crimes warrant a banning and which don't

then explain the positioning of the line you have drawn and why crimes on one side of it are "acceptable"

I've never stated that Corke should be banned from Oakwell.

But for you to equate a relatively petty crime with that dirty b'stard jacking off to the images of the under age girls he downloaded - and in doing so supporting and funding child abuse is absolutely disgraceful.

and petty crime is often connected with the drugs trade who use children as drugs mules. where do you draw the line?

    Seriously Though

It's a big step to ban people from football grounds. But if you are going to ban people for being abusive, agressive or racist, it would seem logical to ban people for being a convicted paedophile as it is a far worse offence. I think he should be banned forthwith.

Only my opinion though. Hopefully he will see sense and just stay away.

    I think the difference is

That people are banned for being abusive, aggressive or racist in a football environment. Are people banned for being racist in the town centre on a wednesday morning for example?

I do see what you're saying but I feel if you are going to ban people for the schocking crimes that they do away from Oakwell then the ban shouldn't apply to one specific crime. If sex offences are going to result in a ban then all sex offences should because rape against a woman is pretty serious too.

Having said that I wouldn't care less about his 'rights' or fairness if he was banned

Isn't that an issue for life in general though rather than specifically a football match?

It would make me sick if he was stood down the aisle from me and my children (if I had them) at Morrisons or if we passed him in barnsley town centre etc.
