It's claimed that once the takeover is completed by New City Capital, then gaps in the squad will be filled by fringe players from us on loan.

Alan Nixon having a bit of a rant that he doesn't want his club run like ours and hoping the sale doesn't get ratified over dual ownership rules.

Things in a bad way at Thistle these days. Manager has been told no more money available for transfers and on Saturday the players had to make their own way to Alloa for the league game.
I sorry to see Thistle in such a state. Always liked them as a good football club.

Play bowls with Sean McGinty's grandad down in Kent. Big Charlton fan. Always look for their results.

What the f..k does Alan nixon know about how we run our club? Maybe we should run it like Bolton or Bury that might please him. I'm sure 99% of thistle fans would love their club to be owned by our owners

He's still pissed off that he doesn't get inside info any more.

Yeah, this being in the Championship and, probably, more financially stable than we've ever been in our history....it's s**t isn't it?

He sees us selling our best players all the time and doesn't like a system to stick to. Two valid points.

I don't know for certain but I think it would be quite safe to say that Partick thistle will have always sold their best players

There are about 3 or 4 clubs globally who don't sell their best players. Main difference is that if you're say an Arsenal the clubs who can afford your best players don't necessarily want/need them.

Nixon makes me laugh saying he doesn’t want them to be a selling club like us. If they have any decent players they will be sold no matter who the owner is. That’s the way football has always been. There is always a bigger or richer club that will bid for your best players and clubs will always accept. Even Chelsea sold Hazard to Madrid. Good owners are not those who don’t sell, that is an inevitability. Good owners are those who wisely reinvest. No complains for me on that score so far

If he’s saying he doesn’t want to be a feeder club for our loanees & rejects then I agree with him.

If I was a Partick fan & my team were signing a handful of loanees from another club I’d be annoyed we weren’t developing our own talent.

I feared similar with us & Nice but if he’s whinging about losing your best players that’s just life as a football fan & he should know better been a ‘journalist’
