I've just tried looking for further info on the site but the latest news is Carabao Cup news from Morecambe at home. Is there a direct link to this event?
Living 200 miles away, sadly I can't attend. But can I ask something of those who do attend, and maybe the Trust can orchestrate this. The one thing i'd love is for Patrick to leave that room feeling appreciated and to show that a large number of people are thankful for what he has personally done at large self sacrifice. Could there be something like a minutes applause, a standing ovation, or some other visible display of gratitude that he can experience and see at first hand. I know he's humble and doesn't like limelight, but he's taken enough stick that it would be such a nice thing for us to ensure his enduring memory is a positive one. Far too many symbols of thanks are too late and seldom seen by those who matter. This seems a wonderful opportunity to simply say thank you.
I know it sounds random but we should get him a fancy cheesecake with a thank you message to present at the end. He makes no secret about how much he loves cheesecake (even more than his love for Conor) and it would be a simple but thoughtful gesture that I reckon he would appreciate. It's also a recommended food for people undergoing treatment as it is soft and is high in calories.
Could someone ask pc why he hasn't offered any of his shares for sale to us fans even if it was 2% for example.
That is a very interesting post as the owner has maybe done 2 interviews with newspapers Yorkshire Post and barnsley chronicle last year and in both he has talked about “giving” the club to the fans “I would like to deliver the club to the fans as a self sustaining business “ The only way I can possibly think of doing that is giving it to or a percentage to the supporters club / some kind of supporters trust offering to sell the club to the fans hasn’t this been tried before and didn’t work A small percentage may be feasible though The shares have been split up Into smaller amounts for some reason
I have to work but I hope Mr Cryne is passed the regards in which I hope most of us hold him in, and expressed our gratitude and best wishes.
