Penalties

So far this season, number of penalties awarded / scored / missed.

Charlton wow, in comparison with our 2.. So are we too honest or another reason?

 

FC Barnsley? Who are they?

 

I thought that as well.

 

We're getting relegated!

 

We shoot on sight from range... Can't get penalties if you don't go in the penalty area.

 

Thank you for that stat.....was discussing same, with a Leeds fan, who bemoaned their lack of pens.
Charlton I get....king of the dark arts but only 2 for us! sorry that just doesn't compute. We have more possession, more shots and for the life of me I don't get how we can't buy a penalty.

 

Beat me to it we lack composure in the final 3rd.

 

We only get **** refs

 

For a team at the top we've had very, very few penalties and last minute goals, trademarks of the teams that usually go up. The latter I've no explanation for but the former....just plain old useless officiating

 

Are there penalties conceded stats? Bet we aren’t bottom of the league for those..

 

Even with my red tinted specs taken off we've been denied some nailed on pens this season, most recently at Doncaster. It's not a new issue either; did we get more than one last season? We just don't get pens. It's bloody frustrating.

 

It makes little sense that a team which has scored loads of goals and constantly gets into the opponents penalty area has been awarded so few.

 

I'm going to be really optimistic and say We ve saved our quota for the last games giving us 18 points.

 

So us v Charlton, play-off final, goes to pens. Nailed on.

 

Very true that. I don't expect us to try and walk it in, but we are far too eager to shoot from anywhere, most of the time.

 

We actually got more in the championship last season - one at Birmingham (missed), one at Bolton and one at Millwall.
