Most of them are predicting that we'll give them an absolute pasting. https://www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=107343
While this is the stage of the season which often throws up odd results, reading their forum looks very like ours last season. In that we were so bad for most of it, that even getting a sniff of a result against the top teams was unimaginable to the point of being slightly ridiculous. It sounds like they have been genuinely awful for most of the season, especially defensively. With that in mind, we really should beat them. But I am absolutely nervous as fck that we won't.
Would like to see Cavare back in the team today. Would also drop Thiam and be tempted to potentially play Styles. Hopefully Lindsay, Kieffer Moore also back. Big performance and 3 points needed but I think they’ve got it in them.
I'll take an unconvincing win! Jacob Brown is starting to get key goals for us and looks so relaxed I have every faith in him. I'm hoping we relax and enjoy our football and can see another Southend type result
I think a big, convincing win would really set us up for the final two games. However, in games of such importance it rarely happens. I'd also take a scrappy 1-0 win, though wouldn't particularly enjoy the inevitable 90 minutes of torture! Good news that Plymouth are low on confidence and defensively weak. Sounds like an early goal is key if we are to have any chance of a relatively relaxed afternoon!
They still have the best player I've seen down at Oakweell this season in Ruben Lameiras. A word or 2 in his hear about joiniing us next season and 3 points would do very nice. COYR
I thought they were unlucky to leave Oakwell with only a draw. Lameiras is a very tidy player. It’ll be a tight game
19th April 1979 Grimsby 2-0 Barnsley 25th April 1981 Blackpool 1-0 Barnsley 22nd April 1997.Portsmouth 4-2 Barnsley 22nd April 2019. Fourth time in my life we're going for automatic promotion. Fourth time we've been pitched against a costal town at this time of year. Inevitable.
Remember us putting in a brilliant performance at home to Brentford to end their play off Hope's only to follow it up with capitulation at Derby. As you say we should win but at this point in the season it's hard not be nervous.
One day at a time sweet Jesus. That's all I'm asking from you. Daniel Stendel, on the other hand. 3 points please, Love John Peachy. x
A win, no injuries, no red cards and a defeat for at least one of our two rivals. Not much to ask for, is it...?
I was nervous as hell anyway but reading that makes it 10x worse. I can’t wait for this season to finish, it’s going to be death of me this. COYR!!!!!!
Selective memory again on this game. We count all the opposition’s missed opportunities and not mention our own. Yes Plymouth played really well at Oakwell and deserved their point, but to say they would’ve hammered us is way OTT.
