"I've just watch his post match interview with the media by the way, what are we doing with this guy? How many times has he said "second balls" since he's been here? He's always on about us without the ball, he should focus on what we do with it and we might start to win games." Hehe, worrying more about the opposition again... no matter what your budget is Hecky.
He went 3 at the back because both Williams & Gardner were unavailable, most on here thought it was a good idea pre-match
Saw the match highlights on Sky Sports News this morning and they made a point of showing the Leeds kick off. Around half a dozen passes later they were playing square balls across their penalty box from one flank to the other. Not just negative when he was with us.
All started for us when he changed the team against Cardiff at home. Our form went downhill from there onwards.
No chance they’d allow him back after he lied to them when signing the new contract. Imagine they’re fully aware the fans wouldn’t want it.
Let me say this , I detest Leeds & always want them to lose whoever is their manager , however there are people on here with some short memories , how many were belting out " He"s one of our own , Paul Heckingbottom he"s one of our own " at Wembley twice recently ? I do not think he deserves this treatment , he gave myself & my kids , grandkids some great memories & now he has gone we move on , surely it would show a lot more class if we just let it go
What a silly attitude that takes into account none of the last 12 months. Football is all about the heroes and villains and if you consider yourself above everyone else for not getting involved in that that's your business. It doesn't mean the perfectly valid disappointment in his behaviour and relishing of his failure is any less rational.
My attitude is not silly , its an opinion just like yours & I never consider myself above anyone , opposite if anything , so please do not judge me ,you do not know me
And then he went to Leeds. I don't think any Barnsley supporter needs a lesson in showing class from Paul Heckingbottom.
Leeds were poor last night with a much more expensive side than ours. one stat that stood out for me was 0 shots on target all game hecky working his magic.
