Kenny Jackett has said he's going to appeal it..... Be typical if they win the appeal just like Sunderland did before playing us. It does actually look a harsh red.
Seems a little harsh. From the referees view it may look like the lads gone in two footed? His right leg does come forward during the slide.
I’d have been a tad disappointed if it had been one of our players carded but I’m sure as hell that we wouldn’t have won any appeal.
No different to a number we've had in recent times that haven't been rescinded. God knows how Scowen was sent off that time for being off balance from a foul on him that the ref played advantage for!
Rubbish decision should never have been a red - no doubt Portsmouth will win an appeal, I dont recall us ever even appealing to have one overturned though or do I mis-remember - we have had some poor decisions given against us I just dont remember appeals being accepted or turned down
I note that Saturday's refs have been decided - except ours. They must still be working out which of Kenny Jackett's mates to appoint. https://www.efl.com/news/2018/december/efl-match-official-appointments-14-15-december/
Christ, who's side are you on? We want him banned, don't we? These days it's all about intent, and I reckon he screams "Have this you bastid" before he slides in. Red card .
That is the very worst foul I've ever, ever seen. A three footed tackle that nearly broke their player in half. An immediate ban starting immediately, a ban from training, a ban from Saturday's game, a ban on going for a wee, a forfeit from sweeties, no milk for breakfast ....
Where you seen that? EFL website hasn't mentioned who our ref is yet and for two reasons I can't imagine Pompey would be happy with a Yorkshire based ref from Sunderland being in charge.
Given the lad was booked in the 90th minute, hopefully his 95th minute straight red will get reduced to a second yellow
