And not fixing problems that do exist; penalty area argy-bargy for instance. Anywhere else on the pitch and a free kick would be given. (Oops, sorry DR, I hadn't read your earlier similar post).
Cos if they've failed to score with such an advantage first time round, they don't deserve a further advantage when the ball comes back to them.
Kicking the forward at the kick off? Great idea! Followed by kneeing the creative midfielder in the jaxxie, and flattening the winger with a haymaker. Spectacle much improved.
That's a weird interpretation. We've had penalty shoot outs for years, they don't cause a problem, it would be the same as that.
No, but it boils my piss that a penalty is awarded for the softest of trips when you know they weren't going to be hitting the back of the onion bag.
my favourite with that is why do the refs stop proceedings to go and talk to players - said players carry on doing exactly the same and then the ref doesn’t give a foul either way. Why have they started to try and pre-ref a decision - just give the decision you see when it happens as a ref should only be doing really.
I know what you mean. Ditto with accidental handballs. But I'm not sure on what parameters the ref would decide whether a foul is worth a penalty or not. Indirect free kicks already exist for minor infringements, but I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've seen them awarded at a match in nearly 40 years of watching live football.
I don't think it's a bad idea. The penalty itself is reward enough, if you f**k that up then tough. Same rules as penalty shoot outs, and play resumes either by a kick off if it's scored or a goal kick if it's not. Not that I think we're desperate for the rule change, but it will at least stop all that encroaching nonsense as that won't matter. Everyone in centre circle other than the player taking the kick and the keeper
Well that's my post. I have read it carefully and I could have worded it better, so I have edited it. However, I still can't find references to dangerous/foul play.
