I heard on Saturday that the reason for the failed medical was as a result of the bad shoulder injury caused last season against our Wednesday friends from Sheffield. Do you remember the number of times he kept going off for treatment before getting his arm wrenched by their player. I believe that is what has fecked up this transfer.... and probably to other clubs too. This being the case it is only fair to sympathise with him, or any other player trying to further himself.
well we may as well use him now, he has little choice TBH. I wonder if he is now a bit more interested in our contract offer too.
To be honest, at this point i'm more excited about the Cavare lad potentially coming in. Looked a beast against us. A few older heads on this board tell us not to get attached to Yiadom, and i'd say i'm excited by his replacement and less than optimistic that he'll stay. If he does play, will he be playing for a contract somewhere else, or playing for the team?
The thing im most disappointed about is the fact that Chicken Balti pies are no longer available at oakwell. Im more worried about the fact that no one else seems concerned about this??!!
I'd be happy to see him go as soon as possible. He doesn't want to be at Barnsley so he doesn't deserve an improved contract. If the Cavare deal falls through because of this Yaidom saga falling apart then it's bad business all round. All caused by another player commanding the situation. I wish we could afford to just let it go and sign his replacement anyway but sadly we can't.
Agree with Hecky to a point ie upsetting players etc etc ,but if they defend like last two games he's got to pick the best players available whatever the circumstances imo. Not saying Playing Yids will alter the score as I think he played in first game but he has to give us a chance of winning by picking best players not because of monk on .imo. COYR.
Disagree. The situation we find ourselves in is a result of Paul heckingbottom advertising yiadom for sale weeks ago and asking for improved offers. Had he stated that he was not for sale it would possibly have been the end of the matter but instead he told yiadom that he deserved more money than we could afford and asked clubs to bid for him.
Oops I just realised what you meant. I am saying that his statement contributed to the situation not that he was to blame for having to ask for bids
thank the lord - kid in front of me always used to get them and the smell left me feeling ill for most second halves!
