Perhaps I should contribute to the Tory popular press then? I've found on many ocassions the football gossip in the People to be with foundation and often fairly accurate. I don't always buy a Sunday paper but when I do I buy the People. In my work I experience and deal with situations that are often politically motivated almost every weekday, Sunday is for me, reading about football thanks.

Ooops, Don't how this double post happened??

Firstly, the council own 50% of the stadium/land, not saying that they wouldn't sell, perhaps they world.
Secondly, it states that a consortium buying the club and land "COULD" mean a move away. Well, of course it COULD if someone buys it.

TBH I've always said we should stick with Oakwell, history and memories and all that but these last years have worn me down, if it's the difference in having a decent team and a better atmosphere in a smaller stadium rather than all the empty seats then I'd say go for it

If we left Oakwell that would be it for me it wouldn't be a football decision it would be to make money. Story is probably ***** though.

The main reason for moving is because there's prime real estate to be built on, I just don't see that being the case with Oakwell, we can't even get the redevelopment of the town centre underway

    why would they move?

If they bought out the Club and then bought the facilities etc , why on earth move. the only part of the ground that's not that up to date is the west stand, the rest is fine.

Completley 100% against a move away from Oakwell.

But if we did move away from Oakwell there's only two places we could go, old Kingstone School on Broadway or Dodworth Bypass which is smack next to the motorway.

Plenty of room just off Dearne valley parkway at birdwell. Brown field site, ripe for development and good road links to m1 and a1
